On the serene southern coast of Sri Lanka, where lush landscapes meet the endless Indian Ocean, The Cliff Weligama hosted a soulful celebration for International Yoga Day 2025 an intimate day of movement, healing, and sustainability.

Set against the tranquil backdrop of Weligama’s coastline, this quiet observance was a reflection of the Southside’s growing identity as a sanctuary for conscious living. Here, wellness is not treated as a trend but embraced as a way of life one that is rooted in nature, intention, and balance.

In collaboration with two conscious lifestyle brands TRU Active and Tutti Mats the yoga and sound healing session honored both the body and the Earth. The practice, though simple and personal in scale, was grounded in deep values. TRU Active, a Sri Lankan-based brand known for its sustainable and ethical activewear, and Tutti, offering biodegradable yoga mats designed with both functionality and aesthetic in mind, contributed to a setting that encouraged thoughtful, grounded practice.

The Southside of Sri Lanka has quietly evolved into a destination for seekers of stillness and meaningful connection. From surfside yoga shalas to sunrise meditations in nature, the region draws in individuals looking to slow down and live with greater awareness. The Cliff Weligama through its design, location, and creative collaborations resonates with this spirit.

Stay tuned as The Cliff Weligama continues to host conscious lifestyle events and talks throughout the year where wellness meets design, and community meets purpose.
