At The Cliff Weligama, sound is a vital part of the atmosphere. But not every corner plays the same tune. While the Lawn offers the pure sounds of nature, waves crashing, rustling palms, our Terrace and Bar follows a carefully curated musical journey designed to elevate your experience from sunset to starlight. 

Music here is more than ambiance; it’s part of the soul of The Cliff. From day one, we knew the soundtrack of space had to reflect our values: elegance, ease, emotion, and connection. 

The Cliff Terrace and Bar: A Curated Sound Experience 

The music you hear at our Terrace and Bar isn’t random. It’s the result of weeks of listening, refining, and shaping playlists that complement the time of day and the energy of space. 

Our goal? To make our guests feel uplifted, inspired, and present without overwhelming the moment. 

Six Signature Sound Sets 

Each playlist at the Terrace and Bar was handpicked to match a distinct vibe. These are the six sound sets that define our evenings: 

Sea Drift – Coastal calm and meditative rhythms 

Golden Glow – Ambient warmth with a smooth, chill tone 

Jazz at Dusk – Refined, timeless, and elegant 

Sundown Lounge – Mellow electronica meets stylish jazz 

Midnight Coast – Jazzy hip-hop and soulful after-dark beats 

Roots & Rhythm – Afro-house with warmth and depth (select nights only) 

The Daily Sound Flow 

We’ve designed the music to flow with natural shifts in mood and light from golden hour to moonlight cocktails. 

At The Lawn 

No speakers, no playlists just nature’s soundtrack. The sea, the breeze, and birdsong set the mood. It's a serene, unplugged experience. 

Terrace and Bar

Sunset Vibes (4:00–6:30 PM) 

Soft, cinematic sounds. Perfect for golden-hour drinks and casual conversation. Playlists:Sea Drift, Golden Glow 

Evening Flow (6:00–8:00 PM) 

Elegant and timeless, letting the food and atmosphere shine. 

Playlists: Jazz at Dusk, Sundown Lounge 

Nightfall Groove (8:00–10:00 PM) 

A gentle rhythm carries the evening forward. Playlists: Midnight Coast Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: Roots & Rhythm brings a warm, energetic pulse
